Very cheerful, informative care team. De la Mere ward has a very nice atmosphere.
Minor point, but no handwash in toilet during my stay.

From the welcome when I arrived at the Day Surgery I felt reassured. The staff were pleasant and clear about the procedure for my stay. At each stage I was greeted by the team who would be involved in my procedure. A name was always given first, their role and then cross- checking of information which I believe is critical, despite repetition.
After my operation I was checked constantly and chatted to by friendly nursing staff. Frequent drinks and toast were offered and all questions carefully answered. Phone calls from my husband were responded to quickly and gave clear information as to my progress.
